Looking for cosplayers

Okay, this will be the first of many times I’m going to ask this. Any Vocaloid or Black Butler (or Reborn or Tales of) cosplayers planning to go to AnimeNEXT or Anime Expo (or anyone in NJ)?

I am a Rutgers graduate cosplayer that cosplays as Kagamine Len (original, Servant of Evil, Human Sacrifice Alice alt. version, another alt. costume), Ciel Phantomhive, and Genis Sage (Also thinking about cosplaying Tsuna or Mukuro and Honne Dell/Yowane Hakuo). I’m looking for a group since I usually go alone to conventions and I want to try to change that this year.

Officially Going to Anime Expo

I said that I was considering going to Anime Expo this year and I already bought a pass in the case that I would go, but now I’ll make it official. Barring any problems that would prevent me from going, I will be going to Anime Expo 2012. I’ll deal with getting a hotel room and airplane tickets later.

As for cosplaying, I will be cosplaying Kagamine Len (normal costume, Hitobashira Alice alt. costume, etc.) and Ciel Phantomhive. Still considering cosplaying Mukuro (or Tsuna) and Genis Sage.

Last Night’s Dream

I like it when I dream about going to anime conventions. I was cosplaying as Len and I think it was in Rutgers’ College Ave. Gym (maybe because I was there not too long ago for the Big Chill). What’s weird about this dream is that most of the friends I went with would never go to conventions.

Anime Cons 2012 Plans

My chances of going to:

MangaNEXT: 70% (It really depends on if I can get No Cosplayer Left Behind up and running by then, max 1 day)

AnimeNEXT: 99% (I should be able to go. Whether or not I can go Day 0 or Day 1 depends on whether or not I have a job and if I can get out of that job for that Friday)

Anime Expo: 80% (I should have the money, but again, it depends on my working situation)

Possible cosplays for 2012:

Genis Sage: I’ll consider it depending on when Tales of photo shoots occur

Ciel Phantomhive: I enjoyed being Ciel during NYAF. I think I was the only guy cosplaying as him during NYAF (of maybe a dozen Ciels). Most likely cosplay him during AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo.

Kagamine Len original costume: Of course I’ll cosplay him (original costume). I’m even upgrading it so it’s better than before.

Kagamine Len Hitobashira Alice costume: It’s a little bit short of me, but it’s fine. Probably during Anime Expo, maybe during AnimeNEXT.

Kagamine Len Servant of Evil costume: If I go to MangaNEXT, I’ll use this costume. Don’t know about AnimeNEXT or Anime Expo yet because of the hotter weather.

Mukuro Rokudo: I already mentioned in the Cosplay.com forums (I need to start using that more often…) that I might cosplay him. The exact costume I’ll use will depend on my money situation. I don’t like Mukuro, but it’s for the sake of Chrome. Also means I’m looking for a girl to cosplay as Chrome.

Kagamine Len Pretty Fundoshi Aku-malen costume: I’m thinking about getting this costume. Again, it depends on my money situation.

No Cosplayer Left Behind

I made this group several weeks ago, but I haven’t had much time to promote this. If you are interested in going to anime conventions, but cannot find anyone to go with or you would be interested in going with other people, come and join No Cosplayer Left Behind!

Do you want to go to anime conventions but don’t know anyone to go with? Are you not good with meeting new people? Are you shy and timid? No problem!

No Cosplayer Left Behind is a group for cosplayers and non-cosplayers that would like to go with other people to conventions. This group was created because we know that while it’s not hard to make friends, it’s tough to find friends to go to a convention.

Anyone is welcome to join! The only requirement is that you’re friendly and that you respect others opinions.

This is mainly for those living in NJ, NY, CT, or PA (since it would be impossible for now to organize nationwide events). However, you’re still encouraged to join, especially if you plan to go to any conventions in the area. I also encourage you to create groups like this for your area.

If you have any suggestions, please let us know! If there are any conventions you’re interested in going, absolutely let us know! And if you want to see if other people want to cosplay characters from a certain series, let us know!
