Finalized Cosplay Plans for AnimeNEXT/Anime Expo (Still Looking for Cosplay Partner)

I have (almost) finished my cosplay plans for AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo (Otakon and NYAF still not finalized). Days have not been decided yet, but I’ve decided who I’ll be cosplaying:

AnimeNEXT

  1. Kagamine Len (normal or kimono ver.)
  2. Amano Yukiteru (Future Diary)
  3. Shinku Izumi (DOG DAYS)

Anime Expo

  1. Kagamine Len (Love Is War or normal or kimono ver.)
  2. Kagamine Len (Human Sacrifice Alice on Sunday)
  3. Ciel Phantomhive (on Saturday)
  4. Amano Yukiteru
  5. Shinku Izumi

I’m still looking for a cosplay partner for the following characters:

  • Kagamine Len (Looking for Rin, Miku, GUMI, or other Vocaloids for Anime Expo)
  • Amano Yukiteru (Looking for a Gasai Yuno for all conventions)
  • Shinku Izumi (Looking for a Millhiore or other DOG DAYS characters for all conventions)
  • Ciel Phantomhive (Looking for Sebastian, Elizabeth, Alois, or other Black Butler characters for Anime Expo)

AnimeNEXT Cosplay

I have narrowed down even further who I’ll cosplay during AnimeNEXT. I will be Kagamine Len during one of the days (still need to determine which costume) and Amano Yukiteru during another day. I’m still deciding between Shinku Izumi (DOG DAYS) and Ciel Phantomhive, but I’m currently leaning towards Shinku since I’ve already been Ciel and I can just use my Millhiore plush if I can’t find a cosplay partner that will cosplay her. I will not be Tsuna or Genis unless I find a cosplay partner for them.

Like always, I’m still looking for a cosplay partner for all the conventions I’m going to, but for AnimeNEXT, I’m looking for the following:

  • Gasai Yuno (for Yukki)
  • Millhiore F. Biscotti or other DOG DAYS characters (for Shinku)
  • Sebastian, Elizabeth, Alois, etc. (for Ciel)

Looking for Anime Expo cosplayers

Even though I’m technically still looking for cosplayers for other cons, today, I will focus on Anime Expo. I (hopefully) found people for AnimeNEXT and Otakon for at least one of the days and NYAF is still a long ways away. There is exactly three months left before Anime Expo, but I don’t have any commitments.

I’m probably going to organize a gathering for lone con goers like I did last year, but that has nothing to do with my search. I’m also going to some gatherings, but my timid personality is going to restrict me, which is why I’ve been doing this search. Here is who I’ll be and who I’m looking for (keep in mind that I’m going to be 25 and that I’m a 5’6” male):

  • Ciel Phantomhive - I’m going to be Ciel on Saturday because of a gathering. In the past, I’ve been Ciel alone and it does feel weird not having a Sebastian. So, I am looking for a Sebastian, or an Alois, or an Lizzy, or whoever else.
  • Kagamine Len - I’m probably going to be Human Sacrifice Alice Len on Sunday for a gathering, so it would be nice to have a cosplay partner from Human Sacrifice Alice during that day.
  • Kagamine Len 2 - I’m listing him again since I’m going to be him another undetermined day. Which Len I’ll be will really depend on if I can find someone. I can be regular Len, Servant of Evil Len, Len in a kimono, or Love Is War Len. Your choice.
  • Sawada Tsuna - I always wanted a Chrome Dokuro cosplay partner, so that’s who I’m looking for specifically. True, Mukuro would make more sense, but I already have stuff ready for Tsuna.
  • Amano Yukiteru - I’m looking for a Yuno because Yukki makes the most sense with a Yuno.
  • Shinku Izumi - I’m looking for anyone from DOG DAYS, especially Millhiore.

There are five days (4 days + day 0). The top three in the list I will be doing. The bottom three will depend on who I find, so please spread the word and if you’re interested, please let me know through cosplay.com, Cure, AX Forums, or e-mail. I’ve gotten some maybes, but I do need commitments.

Looking for Cosplayers (Updated Again)

I know that I keep on posting this, but this is the only way I can think of (other than going on cosplay forums, which I do) to find a cosplay partner(s).

Again, I will be going to AnimeNEXT, Anime Expo, Otakon, and maybe NYAF. I will be cosplaying Kagamine Len, Ciel Phantomhive, Amano Yukiteru (Future Diary), and Shinku Izumi (DOG DAYS). I might cosplay Sawada Tsuna or Genis Sage. Can anyone help me find a cosplay partner?

Probably Going to Otakon

I was thinking about going to Otakon several weeks ago, but I was only thinking about it. After looking at several factors I won’t go over, I’ve decided that I will probably go to Otakon. I’ve already been to MangaNEXT and I will be going to AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo. Add Otakon to this list now. NYAF is still a maybe because I want solid commitments from other people before I decide to go.

So, I’ve posted my “Looking for Cosplayers” link once again, because we all know that I love doing that. Actually, I’ve updated it do include Otakon right now. I don’t know yet if I’ll buy or make new costumes, but if I do, it would most likely be another Len or Ciel costume. So in addition to the other conventions I’m going to, I’m looking for a Rin or Miku cosplay partner (when I cosplay Len) and a Sebastian, Elizabeth, Alois, etc. cosplay partner (when I cosplay Ciel) for Otakon. I’m also looking for a Chrome Dokuro cosplay partner.

MangaNEXT - Day 2 Quick Summary

Back from the convention…actually, attending a party. And if you’re wondering, I’m covering my Ciel costume with a hoodie and sweatpants. Had a good time hanging with others and playing Werewolf. Didn’t take too many pictures. Maybe I’ll take more tomorrow, which is Len day for me.

Start of My Convention Season TOMORROW!!!

It’s only February, but it is the start of the convention season for me! Like I’ve said before, I’m actually going with people this time!!! I feel like I’m going to be the only one cosplaying out of the whole group I’m going with (Rutgers’ JVCA), but at least I’m going with people! It seems like I’m too excited about going with people especially since I’ve done it before and since this is a small convention, but after being bailed on twice during NYAF last year, this timid guy has something to be excited about. Hopefully, this will be a good beginning of hopefully a good convention season.

If you happen to see a college-aged Ciel (with a green Mahora messenger bag) surrounded by college-aged people tomorrow (or see a Len on Sunday), be sure to say hi!

MangaNEXT Final Cosplay Decision

After asking many people about what I should cosplay, I have made my final decision for Saturday and Sunday. A vast majority said that I should be Ciel on Saturday and Len on Sunday, so that is what will happen.

The bad news, I won’t have a cosplay partner, like usual. The good news, I will be with my anime club (RU JVCA) for those two days. That’ll be the first time I went to a convention with people I knew since NYAF 2010 and AnimeNEXT 2009. (I did find people for AX 2011, but I didn’t know them until the actual convention)

So, all I need to deal with now is actually getting my costumes ready. Need to find or buy a wig cap and add Len songs to my iPod for Sunday (I will have speakers with me so I can sing to his songs). Also should get my camera ready so I can take pictures.

And one more thing: my search post for a cosplay partner (preferably female) in AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo (and NYAF). I will say I have gotten some responses, but I will keep reposting this link.

Continuing to Search for a Cosplay Partner

I haven’t had much success finding NJ cosplayers or finding cosplayers going to MangaNEXT or AnimeNEXT, but I will continue trying (which is why I’m posting my search link again). Again, I’m doing this because it would be nice to have a cosplay partner/group. I’m pretty timid, so just approaching people (if I’m not taking their picture) is really hard for me. I’m 24, 5’6” and if you want a picture of me, here is one.

I usually cosplay Ciel and Len, so I’m always looking for VOCALOID and Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler cosplayers. I also cosplay other people and you can look at the link above to see what else I’m looking for. As I said, MangaNEXT and AnimeNEXT. I’m also going to Anime Expo. I’m considering Otakon and the earliest I’ll know if I can go is on Friday. I’m also considering NYAF and for that, I’m looking for people interested in doing a DOG DAYS cosplay group. I haven’t formally started looking because I still need to see if I’m going to Otakon, but I will start posting everywhere when I know.

I will continue my search and I don’t plan to give up right now. This also means I’m going to continue to post this link until I’m successful. And if you’re a cosplayer that might know other cosplayers that might be interested, please let them know. Thank you in advance.
