Finalized Cosplay Plans for AnimeNEXT/Anime Expo (Still Looking for Cosplay Partner)

Though I’ve already decided who I’ll be, I’ve decided what days I will cosplay who during AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo. I still don’t know about who I’ll cosplay during Otakon and NYAF.

AnimeNEXT:

That being said, I’m still looking for a cosplay partner. I know I keep on bugging everyone about this, but this is the only way I can think of that would possibly work. Lone Cosplayers/Con-Goers Meetup 2012 (AnimeNEXT and Anime Expo)

As you might know, I’ve already started planning this for AnimeNEXT, but now that I have the time, I’m going to start planning this for Anime Expo. So, time to give my spiel again about this:

Do you want to go to anime conventions but don’t know anyone to go with? Are you not good with meeting new people? Are you shy and timid? No problem!

I’m planning a meetup for con-goers and cosplayers that typically go alone. The only requirement? That you’re friendly and you respect the others! Even if you’re not going alone, you’re free to join. If you’re shy and timid, don’t worry. I’m pretty shy and timid myself, but you need to start somewhere! Right?

Looking for a Cosplay Partner

I have been cosplaying alone for several years, but I’ve always wanted a cosplay partner or be part of a cosplay group. I’m a 24 year old male, 5’6″, looking for a female cosplayer in the NJ/NY area that will be my cosplay partner. I typically cosplay Kagamine Len (VOCALOID), Ciel Phantomhive (Kuroshitsuji), and Shinku Izumi (DOG DAYS) [I have a more extensive list here], but I am willing to cosplay other characters assuming that I like the outfit and assuming I have the money.

I will be going to AnimeNEXT, Anime Expo, Otakon, and NYAF this year, but I am willing to go to other conventions nearby and do photoshoots, again, assuming I have the time and money. I’m kind of a quiet person, but I can easily open up to people once I know them.

Still Looking for DOG DAYS/Sword Art Online Cosplayers

Though I’m still looking for a cosplay partner, my top priority is currently to find DOG DAYS cosplayers going to AnimeNEXT, Anime Expo, Otakon, and NYAF/NYCC, since I will be cosplaying Shinku for probably all of those conventions. Looking for Cosplay Partner (still)

I’ve been posting this many times and I will continue to post this again until I find a cosplay partner (sorry!).

I am a 24 year old (5’6”) that likes to cosplay. However, because I am timid, it’s hard for me to find people to cosplay with (I’m a nice guy, but I have trouble interacting with people I don’t know), but right now, I’m looking for a cosplay partner or group. Anime Expo and Otakon and…Sporting Events?!

I just noticed this today. The X Games are occurring during Anime Expo and a major soccer game between two British teams (and baseball games) are occurring during Otakon. Ugh, this could be very interesting…or very bad.

I mean, it shouldn’t affect my plans to cosplay during my travels (on a bus or a train), but still, this makes it harder to get the guests I’m looking for, like Miku, since some of the venues that are usually are available will be reserved for the X Games *sigh*

I guess I’ll try my best to make people like me look good.

Looking for Anime Expo cosplayers

Even though I’m technically still looking for cosplayers for other cons, today, I will focus on Anime Expo. I (hopefully) found people for AnimeNEXT and Otakon for at least one of the days and NYAF is still a long ways away. There is exactly three months left before Anime Expo, but I don’t have any commitments.

I’m probably going to organize a gathering for lone con goers like I did last year, but that has nothing to do with my search. I’m also going to some gatherings, but my timid personality is going to restrict me, which is why I’ve been doing this search. Here is who I’ll be and who I’m looking for (keep in mind that I’m going to be 25 and that I’m a 5’6” male):

  • Ciel Phantomhive - I’m going to be Ciel on Saturday because of a gathering. In the past, I’ve been Ciel alone and it does feel weird not having a Sebastian. So, I am looking for a Sebastian, or an Alois, or an Lizzy, or whoever else.
  • Kagamine Len - I’m probably going to be Human Sacrifice Alice Len on Sunday for a gathering, so it would be nice to have a cosplay partner from Human Sacrifice Alice during that day.
  • Kagamine Len 2 - I’m listing him again since I’m going to be him another undetermined day. Which Len I’ll be will really depend on if I can find someone. I can be regular Len, Servant of Evil Len, Len in a kimono, or Love Is War Len. Your choice.
  • Sawada Tsuna - I always wanted a Chrome Dokuro cosplay partner, so that’s who I’m looking for specifically. True, Mukuro would make more sense, but I already have stuff ready for Tsuna.
  • Amano Yukiteru - I’m looking for a Yuno because Yukki makes the most sense with a Yuno.
  • Shinku Izumi - I’m looking for anyone from DOG DAYS, especially Millhiore.

There are five days (4 days + day 0). The top three in the list I will be doing. The bottom three will depend on who I find, so please spread the word and if you’re interested, please let me know through cosplay.com, Cure, AX Forums, or e-mail. I’ve gotten some maybes, but I do need commitments.

Looking for Cosplayers (More Updates!)

Like I said, I will keep on posting this, but I’ll say some things:

  • Even though I do go to the various cosplay gatherings, I am very shy, which is why I look online instead of the actual gatherings. I mean, feel free to approach me during these gatherings if you want to go with me after the gatherings, but I will rarely approach people during or outside the gatherings because I’m so shy. Of course I’m working to fix that, but it’s just not easy to do fix that.
  • If you want to take a picture of me, go right ahead. I have no problem with that.
  • I’m still looking for a Rin, Miku, or GUMI for Anime Expo and/or NYAF. I’m not offically looking for them for AnimeNEXT and Otakon anymore since I’ve found people. However, you are always free to join me if you don’t have a cosplay partner. Nice cosplayers does deserve to have a cosplay partner or group.
  • For AnimeNEXT, Anime Expo, Otakon, and NYAF, I’m still looking for a Sebastian/Elizabeth/Alois for Ciel, Chrome Dokuro for Tsuna, Gasai Yuno for Yukki, Millhiore F. Biscotti for Shinku (DOG DAYS), or Presea/Raine for Genis.
  • While I don’t mind age, I would prefer a cosplay partner near my age (I’m 24 currently).
